Beaufort Shrimp Festival

It is that time of year again! Time for the annual Fall vacation to Hilton Head, South Carolina where the guys will play golf and the girls will lay around the pool working on our tans and drinking pretty looking drinks. Each year we try to get over to the Beaufort Shrimp Festival for some tasty shrimp and a look at the local sites and this year is no exception.  Friday we will fly into Jacksonville airport then Saturday make our way to Beaufort to enjoy the sites and sounds of the festival. Historic Beaufort has some awesome photographic opportunities and I never tire of walking around the historic district. Most of the homes were built around the early 1800's and have large open porches and boast of old oak trees that epitomize the romantic feel of the Old South. The festival will have free music, lots of entertainment for kids and adults alike and plenty of shrimp to devour.  We may be from Texas but we love our Coastal Carolina shrimp. Here a just a few of the last trip to Beaufort during the Shrimp Festival.  Hopefully we will have just as much fun at this one as we did in 2005. Look for more posts about South Carolina and the places to visit.
